Hashbags were born on a long drive back to New York City one summer afternoon. #Roadtripping, if you will.
I was thinking about all the clever ways people use hashtags as shorthand. On average, more than 125 million hashtags are used on Twitter every day.
I was also thinking about one of my favorite must-have accessories: the tote bag. Ever so handy, tote bags are essential, especially in a place like NYC where practically everyone carries a bag on the subway.
I decided to create Hashbags as a cheeky way to showcase our favorite internet shorthand in real life.
Our bags are designed in NYC and individually hand cut, sewn and printed in the U.S. from heavyweight cotton and recycled materials.
